Operationalizing the NFL Partnership Inside FanDuel’s Product Experience
In April 2021, FanDuel became one of only three official sports betting partners of the National Football League. At the time, FanDuel already held approximately 60% market share in several regulated U.S. states, but increased competition from emerging sportsbooks and fantasy platforms threatened long-term dominance.

Our team was tasked with embedding the partnership directly inside the sportsbook and fantasy experience. The goal was to translate league affiliation into measurable growth across acquisition, retention, and monetization. My role focused on enabling and designing scalable in-product placements—particularly high-visibility header modules—that would convert NFL brand equity into direct betting engagement.








This initiative demonstrated that league partnerships alone do not create growth—product execution does. By operationalizing the NFL affiliation inside the sportsbook interface, we converted brand equity into measurable user behavior, reinforcing FanDuel’s leadership in a rapidly expanding competitive landscape.
